Streaming Bitrate Guide: Settings for Slow Uploads
Bitrate tables for 720p/1080p on YouTube, Facebook and TikTok with low-upload presets.
By DigitalNepal · Updated 2026-09-15
Bitrate decides quality vs stability. With typical Nepali home uploads (10-30 Mbps), conservative settings prevent the buffering that kills watch time.
Steps
1720p30 safe preset
3500-4500 kbps video + 128 kbps audio. Stable on most fiber lines.
21080p30 standard preset
6000-8000 kbps video + 160 kbps audio. Needs 12+ Mbps stable upload.
3Use wired connection
Cable beats Wi-Fi for streams - one Wi-Fi dip causes visible buffering.
4Cap game and app uploads
Pause cloud backup, game updates and Drive sync while live.
Good to know: Numbers are starting points - watch your dropped-frames counter and lower bitrate if it climbs above 1%.
