ePassport Application in Nepal: Appointment to Collection
Online form, appointment, documents, fees verification and delivery tracking - step by step.
By DigitalNepal · Updated 2026-10-04
Nepal's ePassport process runs on appointments: fill the online form, book a slot, appear with documents, then track delivery. Slots fill fast in peak seasons, so apply before you need to travel.
Steps
1Fill the online pre-enrollment
Enter details exactly as on citizenship. Print/save the application ID - everything keys off it.
2Book the earliest workable slot
Morning slots mean shorter queues. Keep checking for cancellations if dates look far.
3Carry originals + copies
Citizenship, photos per spec, old passport for renewals, and fee payment proof as currently required.
4Verify fees officially
Ordinary vs fast-track fees revise. Confirm the current schedule on the official passport site before paying.
5Track and collect
Track status with your application ID and collect with the receipt and ID.
Good to know: Agents outside offices charging 'express fees' cannot speed government queues. Use only official fast-track channels.
